Lucas Dahl

Lucas Dahl is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rets AI. He started investing in real estate at 18 and quickly hit the limit that defines the industry. Everything worth knowing about a property sits inside its documents: the offering memorandum, the lease, the rent roll. The only way to get it out was to read them by hand. He built an underwriting system that read the documents for him and took him from looking at a few deals a day to hundreds.

That system became Rets AI. Lucas studied Economics and Information Systems at San Diego State University before leaving to build Rets full-time. Today Rets is the AI operating system for commercial real estate investment firms. It reads every deal a firm receives, screens it against the firm's buy box, underwrites it and drafts the LOI on the firm's own template. Once a property is owned, Rets abstracts its leases, tracks critical dates and debt across the portfolio, and ties every figure to the document it came from.

His aim is to give every firm command of its own data, so the work of buying and owning real estate builds on itself instead of starting over with each deal. Lucas is 23 and based in Austin, Texas.
